A RESOLUTION COMMENDING LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR RONNIE MUSGROVE FOR HIS DISTINGUISHED AND PROGRESSIVE LEADERSHIP AND SERVICE TO THE PEOPLE OF MISSISSIPPI.

WHEREAS, Lieutenant Governor Ronnie Musgrove has chosen not to seek reelection to the Office of Lieutenant Governor; and

WHEREAS, his decision brings to a conclusion his progressive leadership and service to the people of Mississippi as the presiding officer of the Mississippi Senate; and

WHEREAS, the hallmarks of Lieutenant Governor Ronnie Musgrove's tenure as Lieutenant Governor have been knowledge and mastery of the rules, fair and decisive leadership as the presiding officer and respect for the Senate as an institution; and

WHEREAS, Lieutenant Governor Ronnie Musgrove has qualified to run for the Office of Governor of the State of Mississippi; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Senate to commend the distinguished service of the citizens of this state:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend the distinguished and progressive leadership and service of Lieutenant Governor Ronnie Musgrove and wish him success in his endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be presented to Lieutenant Governor Ronnie Musgrove.
